📦 Item Description

Professionally **overhauled** **Pilot Old Custom Kaede (Maple)** Fountain Pen featuring an **18K Gold Fine (F)** nib.

The **Pilot Custom Kaede** is one of Pilot's most iconic vintage wooden fountain pens, admired for its beautifully crafted natural maple barrel. Over the years, the maple develops a rich patina and warm luster, giving each pen a unique character that cannot be replicated.

This pen is fitted with an **18K Gold Fine (F)** nib. According to the nib imprint **"H477"**, it was manufactured in **April 1977** at Pilot's **Hiratsuka Factory**.

The pen has been **fully disassembled and professionally cleaned**. The maple barrel has developed a beautiful natural sheen over time and shows **no major damage such as cracks**.

A known issue with many **1970s Pilot inlaid nib models** is the deterioration of the original adhesive, which can lead to nib separation or ink leakage around the section.

To ensure long-term reliability, this pen's nib was carefully removed, all original adhesive was completely cleaned away, and the nib was **rebonded using a high-strength two-part epoxy adhesive with excellent water resistance and durability**. As a result, the pen is ready to be filled with ink and enjoyed for everyday writing with confidence.

**Please note:** This listing includes the **fountain pen only**. **Converter and other accessories are not included.**
