Large Pencil drawing dating from the mid 19th century. I have a number of sketches by the same artist. I haven’t been able to find out anything about the artist. I think the signature is M Coates but it could be M Coales and on other pieces I have, it is signed M L Coates. This picture isn’t signed or dated but mostl of the other pictures date from the 1860s. The location is possibly somewhere in Wales. It is 55cm x 45cm.

Condition: it has discoloured with age and has lots of age spots. It’s quite tatty around the edges with creases and little rips.
