WONDERFUL vintage Taxco, Mexican artisan signed .950 silver and turquoise colored stone necklace. This gorgeous necklace is 17 1/4” long and weighs 74.1 grams. It is beautifully crafted and is neatly bezel set with deep turquoise colored stones and finished with a lovely, lustrous polish. Each link is beautifully hinged and nicely curved with a gorgeous bell shaped centerpiece flanked with elongated, curved sections. This is one of the most pleasing Mexican/Taxco artisan necklace designs that I have seen in some time. It is absolutely stunning on the neckline. It is crafted in generous, highly polished .950 silver and has a push button, insert box clasp closure that works just as it should. This necklace is stamped “.950” along with other stamps that I cannot make out, but that likely offer the designer’s mark, etc. The estate from which I purchased this necklace did know that it was a Taxco piece, which is probably reflected in the hallmarks. It has been professionally tested as, at least, sterling silver to .950 silver. It is in very good vintage condition with no damage other than very minor surface wear. One of the hinges appears to have been repaired at some point, but this is only noticeable on very close inspection and is a very minor issue.
