Description

Adding a compound slide rest to a wood lathe will expand the tool's abilities to include precise machining of metals, plastics, hardwoods, or any number turnable materials. There is no need to alter the lathe unless you add a jackshaft to lower spindle speeds for turning metals.

  • This tool can be built without the use of a metal lathe
  • Steel plate construction
  • Uses commonly available materials
