Antique pocket watch by Samuel Kaltenbach of Neath, Wales
The watch originally belonged to my great-grandfather, who was from Neath
For the last 100+ years it's been wrapped in cotton wool and stored in a box
There are ornate decorations on the face and the rear as shown in the photos
The lion hallmark suggests that the case is solid sterling silver
The leopard's head hallmark is the mark of the London Assay Office
The H in a shield hallmark suggests that the watch was hallmarked in 1883
The winding key is missing
Weight 45.1g
Cosmetically the watch is in very good condition as shown in the photos
I haven't been able to test it as I haven't got a winding key - I have no reason to believe that it doesn't work, but if it doesn't then you can of course return it for a full refund
The watch will be very carefully packed and sent using your chosen courier or you can collect it from Roehampton London SW15
UK delivery only (overseas bidders please use the eBay Global Shipping Programme)
