This elegant double cruet comprises two conjoined clear glass bottles with sterling silver hinged lids, allowing oil and vinegar to be served from a single vessel. The silver mounts are fully hallmarked for Asprey & Co Ltd, London, with the date letter for 1966. The clean, sculptural form makes it equally suitable as a functional table piece or decorative display item.

The cruet is in good vintage condition with age-related surface wear to the silver and light scratches consistent with use. Both hinged lids operate correctly and close. The glass has a chip at the bottom, but only visible to an untrained eye, and there is some internal residue and staining from previous use which would benefit from further cleaning if desired.
