Celebrate the romance of the American West with this vintage Tiffany Fantasy brass belt buckle featuring an intricately engraved cattle drive scene before a railroad stock car beneath the prominent “CENTRAL & UNION PACIFIC RAIL ROAD CO.” banner. Cowboys on horseback guide a herd of longhorn cattle toward the waiting rail car, capturing the spirit of the great cattle drives and the railroads that helped shape the expansion of the American frontier. Rich in detail and finished with a warm aged brass patina, this buckle is both a wearable accessory and an outstanding display piece.
The reverse is stamped “PROPERTY OF UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD CO.” along with the well-known “Tiffany Broadway New York” fantasy hallmark. Despite these markings, this buckle was not produced by Tiffany & Co. It belongs to a popular series of mid-to-late twentieth-century “Tiffany Fantasy” buckles that were intentionally designed to resemble rare nineteenth-century railroad relics. Today these buckles have become collectible in their own right, appreciated for their craftsmanship, Western themes, and nostalgic Americana appeal.
The buckle is crafted from solid brass with finely cast raised artwork and a secure belt loop and hook on the reverse. Its substantial construction and detailed engraving make it an excellent addition to any collection of railroad memorabilia, Western collectibles, or vintage belt buckles.
