🎷 Dave Brubeck Quartet – Thing's Ain't What They Used To Be

📀 Description

Offered for auction is an original 1959 UK EP pressing of The Dave Brubeck Quartet – Thing's Ain't What They Used To Be, released by Fontana Records as part of the Sounds Of Jazz – No. 3 series.

A superb early Cool Jazz EP from the legendary Dave Brubeck Quartet, this release features the Duke Ellington classic Thing's Ain't What They Used To Be, performed with Brubeck's unmistakable piano style and the quartet's sophisticated interplay. A landmark group in modern Jazz, the Dave Brubeck Quartet helped bring Cool Jazz to a worldwide audience during the late 1950s.

The EP also includes Liberian Suite – Dance No. 3, another outstanding performance that highlights the quartet's inventive arrangements and musical precision. Original UK Fontana Jazz EPs from this era are increasingly sought after by collectors.

An excellent addition to any collection of Dave Brubeck, Cool Jazz, Bop, Modern Jazz, Fontana Records, Collectible Vinyl, 7" EPs, and Original UK Pressings.
