A landmark British Pop single, Don't Treat Me Like A Child was the debut hit by Helen Shapiro, who was just 14 years old when the record became a UK Top 10 success. Her remarkably mature voice and confident performance immediately established her as one of Britain's brightest new stars of the early 1960s, making this one of the defining releases of the pre-Beatles era.

The B-side, When I'm With You, is a charming vocal Pop recording that perfectly complements the memorable A-side. Original UK Columbia pressings from 1961 are increasingly sought after by collectors of early British Pop, female vocalists and classic 1960s vinyl.
