Victorian Solid Silver Propelling Pencil & Dip Pen Combination
Item Details
A Victorian solid silver combination writing instrument incorporating both a propelling pencil and a dip pen. The body is engraved throughout with foliate decoration and fitted with a dual-slider mechanism allowing the pencil and dip pen to be extended independently. The terminal is set with a shield-shaped polished hardstone finial, while the upper section features a cast collar with classical detailing. The piece is unhallmarked but has been XRF-tested as solid silver. The dip pen is present but will require a replacement nib.
Good antique condition with age-related surface wear, light scratches and minor tarnish. Both mechanisms extend as intended. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
Returns are handled in line with eBay policy and the returns setting on this listing.
