Full Description
A striking large-scale vintage ceramic table lamp dating to approximately the 1960s and closely corresponding to the tall **Model 900-type form associated with Gunnar and Lotte Bostlund**.
The lamp has a clean elongated bottle silhouette, with a rounded cylindrical lower body, broad sloping shoulders, and a long tapered neck. Its understated sculptural form reflects the Scandinavian-influenced modernism that became central to Bostlund lighting design.
The ceramic body is finished in a beautifully varied glaze. The neck and shoulder display smoky charcoal and dark olive-gray tones, transitioning into a mottled lower body with olive-brown, aubergine, russet, and subtle copper-colored undertones. The glaze changes naturally under different lighting and gives the lamp considerable depth without distracting from its minimalist form.
The lamp retains its tall conical hand-wrapped twine shade, an important element of its original mid-century appearance. When illuminated, the natural fiber shade produces a warm, softly filtered light.
This is an excellent decorative example for a mid-century modern, Scandinavian modern, Danish modern, organic modern, Brutalist, or studio-pottery interior.
