## Short Description

Decorative early 20th-century style table lamp featuring an unsigned, open-ended glass sleeve with green pulled-feather decoration over a warm amber-gold ground. Mounted on an ornate cast-metal base and fitted with an elaborate embroidered fabric shade with butterfly and floral motifs, scalloped panels, and long fringe.

## Full Description

An attractive decorative table lamp combining an Art Nouveau-inspired glass body with an ornate period-style textile shade.

The lamp body incorporates an approximately 8-inch-tall open sleeve of blown glass. Its design features finely drawn green feathered or pulled-thread decoration rising through a warm amber, gold, and softly iridescent ground. The glass is open at both the top and bottom and is held within the lamp’s metal mounting assembly. No signature or factory mark was located on the glass.

The lamp rests on a dark patinated cast-metal base decorated with scrolling foliage. The underside bears a molded eagle emblem above partially legible lettering, together with an additional impressed “A.” The exact manufacturer represented by this mark has not been conclusively identified.

The embroidered fabric shade is particularly decorative, with a central butterfly enclosed by a floral wreath, scrolling borders, scalloped shaping, braided trim, and long dark fringe. A decorated shade finial complements the metalwork of the lamp.

The socket and electrical fittings appear to include later replacement components. The lamp is being offered primarily as a decorative vintage lighting piece, with the glass body and original-style shade providing its strongest visual appeal.

## Condition Report

The unsigned glass sleeve appears intact, with no obvious cracks or major chips observed. There is general surface wear, dust, and age-related variation consistent with an older lamp.

The metal components show oxidation, patina, finish wear, spotting, and surface discoloration. The fabric shade displays age-related toning, fading, dust, edge wear, loose or frayed trim, irregular fringe, and scattered losses. A noticeable tear and thinning are present on the rear/side fabric panel, as photographed. Some fringe strands are bent, shortened, separated, or missing.

The socket and wiring appear to have been replaced or modified during the lamp’s life. Electrical components should be professionally inspected before regular use. Condition is shown extensively in the photographs.
