Vintage 1960s Corgi 497 The Man From Uncle (U.N.C.L.E.)

This is an exceptional example of the iconic 1966 Corgi Toys 497 "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." Gun Firing Thrush-Buster die-cast model car. This piece has been incredibly well-preserved, remaining in un-played with, factory fresh display condition.

The Vehicle:

Body & Paint: 

Pristine metallic blue finish with no paint chips. The surface retains its deep, original factory gloss.

Decal: 

The factory-applied U.N.C.L.E. bonnet/hood decal is bright, crisp, and in excellent condition.

Windscreen: 

Flawless blue-tinted plastic featuring the iconic, factory-molded three bullet holes visual effect.

Undercarriage: 

The base plate and axles are entirely "as new" with clean, unoxidized metalwork.

Mechanism: 

Fully tested and operating flawlessly.

Box & Inner Packaging (Insert):

Outer Box: 

Complete, fully functional original illustrated box. It shows minor age-related handling wear and light staining consistent with 60-year-old cardboard, but boasts zero structural rips, tears, or missing flaps.

Display Stage Insert: 

The internal cardboard presentation stand/plinth is structurally sound and presents excellently inside the outer box.

Waverley Ring:

Includes the original silver plastic Waverley Ring. Please note that while the silver plastic body is intact, the ring face appears to be missing its top lens piece, leaving behind some old factory glue residue. 

Corgi Model Club News Slip:

Includes an original 1960s Corgi Model Club promotional slip found inside the display stand, establishing excellent vintage provenance. This will be included, however some details are blanked out in the photo.
