The new Aune Evo N5 is a network player based on an architecture that favours signal processing using top quality audiophile components. It features an ES9039Q2M DAC chip, an NXP Cortex-M7 processor, an Intel FPGA and a Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth chip, as well as FIFO technology and a dual PLL internal clock for optimised jitter management

It supports sampling rates up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512, as well as advanced Bluetooth codecs such as aptX-HD and LDAC, enabling you to enjoy the best audio files available via streaming or your local library.
The aune N5 is compatible with numerous network protocols and streaming platforms: Airplay 2, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz, Amazon Music and more. Its extensive connectivity also makes it an excellent device for transforming your Hi-Fi system into a connected Hi-Fi system.

Key Features

High‑Resolution Audio Support

Analog output: PCM up to 32‑bit/768 kHz, DSD up to DSD512.

Digital outputs (coaxial/optical): PCM to 24‑bit/192 kHz; I²S: up to 32‑bit/384 kHz or DSD256.

Premium Processing Components

ESS Sabre ES9039Q2M DAC, NXP Cortex‑M7 processor, and Intel FPGA.

FIFO buffer and dual-PLL for ultra-low jitter and clean signal path.

Codec & Streaming Support

Bluetooth 5.1: aptX‑HD, LDAC (up to ~990 kbps).

Wi‑Fi (2.4 GHz): compatible with AirPlay 2, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz, Amazon Music, NetEase Cloud.

Inputs & Outputs

Inputs: Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, 2× USB for local playback.

Outputs: Analog (balanced XLR, unbalanced RCA), digital (coaxial, optical, I²S), plus a 10 MHz BNC external clock input.

User Interface & Build

Front display, remote control, and mobile app (“Aune Control” for iOS/Android).

Minimalist Nordic-style chassis — compact dimensions (~208 × 63 × 160 mm), weight ~3 kg.

Performance Specifications

Digital: THD+N –141.6 dB (24‑bit/44.1 kHz), jitter ~171.5 ps.

Analog: SNR 109 dB; THD+N –107 to –109 dB @1 kHz; frequency response ±0.5 dB (20 Hz–20 kHz); noise floor ~2.5 µV.

Why It Stands Out

Dedicated Audio Architecture: A CPU focused solely on audio processing — akin to a classic CD player’s simplicity but with modern streaming prowes

External Clock Input: 10 MHz BNC input for precision timing and improved synchronisation.

Direct Local Playback: Native DSD512 and PCM768 k file playback from USB without the need for a PC. This is rare in the market.

Rich Connectivity: Supports both digital and analog outputs — giving flexibility for various system setups.
