Vintage 1950s Amethyst Art Glass & Clear Rhinestone Statement Brooch

​Up for auction is this striking and elegant vintage costume statement brooch, likely from the late 1950s or 1960s. This piece features a large, emerald-cut amethyst-colored art glass stone at its center, exhibiting rich, deep purple hues. The central stone is surrounded by a halo of brilliant, clear, pavé-set rhinestones that provide a lot of sparkle.

​The stone is set within a quality gold-tone metal setting. The back is finished with a simple and secure rollover clasp.

​Condition: This brooch is in very good vintage condition. The central glass stone shows no significant chips or scratches. The surrounding rhinestones are all present and bright (none are missing). The gold plating shows light vintage patina on the reverse, consistent with age, but no major wear on the front presentation.
