The case is entirely hand-chased with an intricate all-over floral and scrolling foliate design inspired by traditional Mughal decoration. Both the exterior and interior are decorated, demonstrating the quality of workmanship typical of Indian export silver produced during the early 20th century. The interior retains its elastic retaining straps for securing cigarettes.

The case is in good antique condition with age-related surface wear and light tarnishing. The hinge is secure, and the push-button catch operates correctly. The elastic retaining straps appear to have been replaced at some point. There are no obvious dents, splits or repairs visible.
