The "Metropolis" set featured the iconic robot Metropolis woman figure, Maschinenmensch, created and displayed at the world-famous Movieland Wax Museum in Buena Park, California in 1962 and later sold when Movieland closed it's doors in 2005.
Up for auction is the original clapperboard from the museum set, a piece of the theme park history and Sci-fi memorabilia.  Not a screen-used production item from the actual 1927 Fritz Lang movie.  Instead, it was a custom-made museum placard placed in front of the exhibit to display the film's name, producer and director.  Intact on the back of the clapboard is the March 2006 (original liquidation auction date) Asset Reliance auction inventory sticker.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition. One letter "r" in Fritz is lifting, and minor natural wear from decades of being on public display. Please see photos.
Made of wood, 14" x 14".  I am adding a new black wood tripod for your display.
