This Antique Railroad Conductor Passenger Step Stool is a rare and unique piece of railroad history. This primitive, gray stool was used by conductors to help passengers board and disembark trains in the early 20th century. This sturdy and strong stool shows wear and patina commensurate with its age. It dates to the 1910s/20s. Please look closely at the photos for the exact condition. It shows moderate marks. The paint is bubbling in certain areas. There are also a few spots where it has peeled. The rubber mat is coming up at one corner, but could easily be glued back down. I will leave that decision to you. I like to keep things as original as possible. The rubber is in very good condition with no cracking or dryness.
