Up for sale is a beautiful vintage German porcelain beer stein featuring a vibrant, hand-painted style transfer scene of a tavern gathering with musicians.

The top rim and base feature bright gold accent banding. It stands approximately 9.5 inches tall and includes its original decorative pewter conical lid.

Translation of the two verses is:

German: "Wein, Weib und Gesang"

English Translation: "Wine, Women, and Song"

German: "Da wird gewiß die Zeit nicht lang"

English Translation: "There, time will certainly not drag" (or "Time will surely pass quickly there").

This is a classic "lithophane" stein. When empty and held up to a direct light source, a detailed image of a reclining nude female figure becomes visible at the bottom.

Condition: Great vintage condition.

The bottom is cleanly stamped "Made in Germany." No chips, cracks, or hairline fractures in the porcelain. The pewter lid hinge is solid, straight, and functions perfectly. Please see all photos for complete details.
