released in 1999 as a limited edition of 10,000 copies worldwide, it
sold out instantly, becoming a highly talked-about book. Its sheer volume is overwhelming: measuring 70x50cm (27.6x19.7 inches) and weighing approximately 35kg (77 lbs). The book was named "SUMO" because the act of turning its pages in this massive volume resembles the stance of a sumo wrestler. Purchased through a representative from Taschen.
