A scarce original Cheadle Rovers A.F.C. v Manchester University official football programme from the 1960s Manchester Football League, played at Park Road Stadium.
Programmes from non-league and regional football are becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly from clubs with long local histories such as Cheadle Rovers. These smaller club programmes were often produced in limited numbers and few have survived in such presentable condition, making them a wonderful addition to any football programme collection.
This programme comes from my late grandmother's lifelong collection of sporting memorabilia. She had a passion for preserving pieces of Britain's sporting and social history, carefully keeping programmes that so many others simply threw away after the final whistle. I'm delighted these wonderful pieces are now finding homes with fellow collectors.
Features include:
Original team line-ups
Manchester Football League Division One fixture
Period local advertising
Original club publication
Excellent piece of non-league football history
Ideal for collectors of Cheadle Rovers, Manchester football, non-league memorabilia, local sporting history or vintage football programmes.
Condition
Good vintage condition with light age-related handling and storage wear, including the original fold as shown. Please examine all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.

Own a little piece of history ❤️

If you enjoy treasures with stories, please have a browse through my other listings — I upload new finds every day.

I’m currently selling my grandmother’s incredible lifetime collection of souvenirs and antiques to help fund a new roof and lovingly restore her beautiful home 🏠.

She was an air hostess in the 1940s and 50s, travelling the world and bringing back unique pieces from every corner ✈️. She later married my grandfather — the pilot she fell in love with in the skies — and together they continued collecting unusual, charming, and historic items.

In the 1960s she became an antiques dealer in her own right, running her business with passion right up until she retired at the grand age of 92.

Now I’m carefully sorting through everything she treasured, hoping these pieces bring you the same joy and nostalgia they brought to my grandparents for so many decades.

Thank you so much for looking — it means the world. 💛
