From my late grandmother's remarkable theatre collection comes this original 1969 Playbill programme for the groundbreaking London production of Hair at the Shaftesbury Theatre. This is far more than just a programme – it's a fascinating piece of British theatre history from one of the most influential musicals ever staged. The production features an outstanding cast including Tim Curry in one of his earliest professional stage roles, years before The Rocky Horror Show made him a household name. Also includes Paul Nicholas, Gary Hamilton, Joyce Rae and many other original cast members. Beautifully produced by Playbill, the programme contains: Full cast and production credits Musical numbers for both acts Cast biographies Contemporary theatre advertisements Original period articles and features Wonderful late 1960s design throughout I often imagine my grandmother sitting beneath the theatre lights, programme in hand, as London embraced one of the most revolutionary musicals of its era. Decades later it has been carefully preserved and is now ready for another collector to enjoy. Condition Good vintage condition for its age, with age-related wear, marks and handling consistent with a genuine theatre programme from 1969. Please study all photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description. 📦 Your programme will be placed in a protective sleeve and posted flat between sturdy cardboard to ensure it arrives safely. A wonderful opportunity to own an original piece of 1960s London theatre history, especially desirable for collectors of Hair, Tim Curry, West End memorabilia and vintage Playbill programmes.

I’m currently selling my grandmother’s incredible lifetime collection of souvenirs and antiques to help fund a new roof and lovingly restore her beautiful home 🏠.
She was an air hostess in the 1940s and 50s, travelling the world and bringing back unique pieces from every corner ✈️. She later married my grandfather — the pilot she fell in love with in the skies — and together they continued collecting unusual, charming, and historic items.
In the 1960s she became an antiques dealer in her own right, running her business with passion right up until she retired at the grand age of 92.
Now I’m carefully sorting through everything she treasured, hoping these pieces bring you the same joy and nostalgia they brought to my grandparents for so many decades.
Thank you so much for looking — it means the world. 💛
