These 5 litre glass demijohns are designed for home brewing, fermentation and storage of wines, beers and meads. Made from durable clear glass, they allow you to observe the progress of fermentation easily while providing a practical vessel for maturing and storing your brew. Each demijohn is fitted with a sturdy carry handle to help with moving and positioning, although glass should always be handled with care, especially when full.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX
Depending on the option selected, you will receive demijohns only or demijohns supplied with matching rubber bungs and airlocks.
When supplied, the rubber bung and airlock work together to support fermentation by allowing gas to escape while helping to prevent outside air and contaminants from entering the demijohn. This helps maintain the quality of the fermenting beverage and also gives a visible indication of activity through the bubbling airlock.
Wash the glass in lukewarm water with suitable disinfectants before first use. Do not expose the glass to excessive thermal shock, as large temperature differences may cause damage. Always handle the demijohn carefully, and do not rely solely on the handle for carrying when the container is full.
