Antique Brass Fob Compass – FOREIGN Marked – Working – c.1900-1925

An attractive antique brass fob compass dating from the early 20th century.

This compact compass features a brass case with suspension ring, blued steel needle and a detailed 360-degree scale. The dial is marked "FOREIGN", indicating manufacture outside Britain for the export market, likely by a Continental European maker.

The compass remains in working order, with the needle responding and settling correctly when moved. The original brass case has developed a pleasing aged patina and displays the honest wear expected from over a century of use.

Measuring approximately 25.8mm in diameter, this is an ideal size for carrying as a watch fob, pocket compass or gentleman's travel accessory.

A wonderful piece for collectors of antique scientific instruments, navigation equipment, maritime antiques, militaria and pocket curiosities.

Condition
Good antique condition. Compass is working. Age-related wear, tarnishing and marks present throughout. Light dirt and spotting visible beneath the glass. Please study all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
