DICK GRUBB  (1891 to 1940)  San Francisco Bay, California  Here for sale is a decoy from a early California duck hunter.  Shows its age and use but still a great example for this carver.  It is solid redwood with a pine head.  The body looks like original paint with the head having some hunter touch-up.  See page #350 in  "Wildfowl Decoys of California"  by Mike Miller.
