This item is an authentic U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Flotation Bomber Jacket, commonly referred to as a "float coat". 

These specialized jackets serve a dual purpose: providing insulation against harsh, cold weather and serving as a certified Type III Personal Flotation Device (PFD) to delay hypothermia if the wearer enters the water.

Manufacturer: Historically produced by Stearns.

Insulation: Built with closed-cell foam that acts as both a cold-weather barrier and an integrated life vest.

Safety Badges: Features the United States flag patch on the right breast pocket and the United States Coast Guard circular emblem patch on the left breast.

Visibility: Equipped with integrated retroreflective safety tape across the shoulders and wrist cuffs.
