Hermes ONE OWNER 2000 Portable 1957 Typewriter w Manual Hard Case Vintage.

Owned by my little old aunt who purchased it new in 1957 in New York City. This typewriter was never dragged around town it has sat on the same table for decades. My aunt was a bookkeeper and mostly used her office typewriter. So this home typewriter got lighter use. We know it was manufactured in 1957 because of the Serial number pictured "21728115"

All functions seem to work...this has sat for many years in her NYC apartment…we suggest getting a tune-up and  lubricated, it will need a new ribbon, we have not fully tested typing with every key. There is a way to remove the typewriter from its base, and sit it directly on your desk. This unique vintage item is being sold As-Is.

Because it was never taken on the road there are no dents, never got banged up. The Orig. case shows no wear...view all photos. The only minor thing I see it slight rust on the chrome advance arm. 

Includes original owners manual and Orig. Warranty Certificate with matching Serial # as well as cleaning brushes.

If you are used to typing on your computer, this is a very different feel.
