Very Good+ condition.

The binding remains secure and tight. Boards are exceptionally well preserved with sharp edges and corners showing virtually no noticeable wear. Gilt spine titling remains bright and attractive. The top edge retains its original muted teal coloring, while the remaining text block edges are clean and untoned.

Internally, the contents are clean, bright, and complete. Numerous black-and-white illustrations by Thurber appear throughout the text and remain crisp and well printed.

The original slipcase is present and structurally sound, showing only light staining and minor signs of handling. Overall, the slipcase remains in Good to Very Good condition.
