VCR cycles is delighted to bring to the market this Vitus 979 Alloy bonded Frameset that has been decaled as a Colnago.

As far as I’m aware Vitus didn’t produce frames for Colnago? They did for a few other brands as did Alan but I’ve never seen another with Colnago decals so I would imagine these have been added by a previous owner?

The decals are the micro fine waterslide type and not the thicker Lazer cut vinyl type you get these days so they look genuine.

The frame is structurally sound with no lose joints or dents etc.

A few scuffs n scrapes from years of use/enjoyment but nothing of any concern.

Measures 57cm from centre of BB to the top of the seat tube.

It’s 55cm from the centre of the seat tube to the centre of the head tube.

Headtube is 14cm.

Rear spacing is 125cm

Front spacing 100mm

English BB threads BSC.

Shimano 600 headset is smooth turning and is included in the sale.

A very nice iconic Frameset, remove and replace the decals with Vitus ones or leave as it is and have the experts scratching their heads!
