Not much can be known about this beautiful vase other than the vase packed carefully in a box labeled "FRAGILE 19C!" After a little research & being able to find another on an auction site states the vase is from "late 18th Century to early 19th century" confirming that the "19C" in "Fragile 19C!" is for 19th Century.

Absolutely full of bubbles as they were not as good as today artist.

This vase is 11" tall, 4 1/2" opening, 7.5” with handles and 7.5”wide belly. Weighs just under 3lbs at 2lbs 15.7 ounces.

I have found NO flaws making this vase extremely rare for its age. As for the 'mark' at the bottom resembling a circle, it's an etched mark called a 'pontil scar'. It is where a pontil rod was connected as the glass was molded & where it was 'broken off' leaving this mark. where the bottom center is depressed. This gorgeous handsome vase has developed a beautiful patina, that 'silvery hue' a result that can only come from aging, and with it's double handle not symmetrical to each other or the vases body adds unwavering charm! I presume many of these were made but no two were alike let alone, survived!

It is important for me to note, whether it's from either 18th/19th Century, I'm afraid I simply just do not know. Having acquired this from my grandfather's estate, who as a collector had many items similar isn't surprising to me. And I'd like you to know that my offer is based on the fact not having documentation-therefore I decided to base my price that this was made in the late 19th century-but does not mean it was not made earlier. I am not the expert my grandfather was but have discovered the same vase sold on auction stating the era my title includes.
