Reproduction 1900's/Western Expansion/ Civil War Style Braces or Suspenders. The strong and well-made braces are made of a double layer of 1 1/2" wide black canvas which is stitched along both edges for strength. Silver colored metal slides make them adjustable. The straps can be extended to about 45" or down to about 26" to fit most people. (They were worn by my 6'4" husband with length to spare). The front swallow tail tabs are made of sturdy black leather with copper rivets. The tabs are attached with rectangular silver colored metal pieces. The back tabs are black leather which are double stitched around the edges with an extra double stitched x. The straps are crossed at the back about 5" above the top of the leather tabs. They were made for use and not just for costuming. The braces are in condition. No damage. The only signs of wear are button impressions on the leather.
