* John Frederick Lloyd Strevens (1902-1990)

is a British artist who regularly exhibits at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of British Artists, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and at the Paris Salon.
Strevens was born in London and studied at Heatherley's School of Fine Art, but was largely self -taught. He regularly uses his wife and daughters as models for his paintings. In the 1960s, he became particularly known for his child and flower oil paintings and was a successful portrait painter. Many of his paintings of children and flowers have been made in prints. Two of the Strevens paintings appear in the British Council collection.
