Locality:- Moscona Mine Solís Corvera de Asturias Spain Calcite on fluorite specimens from Asturias, Spain, are highly prized mineral associations, typically featuring transparent to translucent, golden-yellow or purple fluorite cubes from the Moscona Mine in Solís or the Villabona area.
The fluorite is
commonly adorned with contrasting white, colorless, or yellowish calcite
crystals. Key Characteristics and Localities:
Moscona Mine (Solís, Corvera de Asturias): This is the primary source of these specimens. They often exhibit rich golden-yellow or deep yellow, transparent cubic fluorite crystals.
Calcite Appearance: The calcite often appears as white, sharp rhombohedral or scalenohedral crystals perched on or embedded with the fluorite
Fluorescence: The fluorite from this region frequently shows a, deep yellow fluorescence under UV light, while the associated Calcite often glows with an orange-pink hue.
