⌚💎 Rare 1920s GRUEN Guild 15 Jewel Swiss Mechanical Watch Movement — Art Deco Estate Find

An exceptional 1920s Swiss-made Gruen Guild watch movement and dial discovered in the estate of a top Rolls-Royce engineer who owned millions of dollars in rare worldwide collectibles. Many pieces from this estate were purchased internationally in places like Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Pakistan, with some items never released into the USA.

This is a genuine 1920s GRUEN Guild mechanical wristwatch movement with matching Gruen dial. The movement is clearly marked GRUEN GUILD, SWISS, FIFTEEN 15 JEWELS, FOUR 4 ADJ, and serial number 1716259. This is an adjusted 15-jewel Swiss mechanical movement from Gruen’s early Art Deco wristwatch era.

The dial is marked GRUEN and features a beautiful rectangular Art Deco design with ornate decorative border, stylized black Arabic numerals, and blued steel hands. This is a highly collectible early Gruen Guild restoration piece with strong 1920s design appeal.

Condition:

This vintage movement and dial show heavy age, wear, patina, spotting, discoloration, scratches, oxidation, and surface aging throughout. The case is not present. Crown and stem are present. The movement appears visually complete, but I have not tested it for timing accuracy, power reserve, or long-term function, so it is being sold as-is for parts, repair, restoration, or display.
