Absolutely wonderful - and extremely rare - limited edition ‘I’m Speedee’ McDonalds 14” display doll! He is amazing - he has a porcelain hamburger head, a soft body and hard hands and feet, and a full (non removable) fabric outfit. He’s made in 1995 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of McDonald’s and was made strictly as limited edition. He’s a collectible item celebrating the iconic Speedee character from the McDonald's franchise. This limited edition doll, designed by artist Jim Licaretz, comes with its original accessories - a wooden reversible sign, however it is in need of repair - the stick has come away from the sign’s head. I should imagine you could probably glue it back together. Looking at other ones I’ve seen on Google, he can hold the sign, however I don’t see any hole in the hand in which it could hold the pole? So doesn’t appear that this particular version can hold it, unless I am missing something. Made of porcelain, this vintage doll from the 1990s is a must-have for fans of the McDonald's Anniversary Collection and collectors of unique dolls. He is about 14 inches tall (plus a couple of inches for the hat). His white outfit is very dusty and quite discoloured (yellowed) with various marks from age and storage, as is his hat. He has a few grubby marks on the porcelain parts which I haven’t tried removing. As mentioned his sign is there however needs repairs. The wooden sign is a bit chipped around the edges/corners. Happy to send more photos of anything. A SUPER RARRR item - essential to any advertising collection, and a wonderful display piece whether you like McDonald’s or not!
