iCreating low voltage wire connector works fine during and after heavy rain, thunderstorms, snow, ice storm etc, but do NOT use them underwater. Also these landscape light connectors work well buried in the dirt. If you are still concerned about waterproof ability, just put a dab of liquid tape on both ends, this would keep any moisture out of the connector.
These low voltage wire connectors are perfect fit for 14, 16, 18 and 20 gauge wire of low voltage landscape lights, great for 12, 14 gauge power cord. It works for both stranded and solid wires., widely used for low voltage landscape spotlight, path lights, well lights, deck lights,etc.
No need to strip the power wire as the connector will pierce the insulation and hold the wire in place, and make sure there is enough wire expose(1/4”) for the light fixture, so that it will get wrapped around the internal post of connector and held tight as you screw the small cap on.
Made of corrosion resistant ultra strong nylon plastic and nickel plated brass pin, to ensure the stability and safety of the connection. So this connector can last several years without issue, no need to change them frequently.
