This 1/72 scale model surpasses the typical level of detail with its realistic molding including newly molded plastic wheels and rubber tires! This is a light armored vehicle equipped with a spare tire and bulletproof plate stationed at the Komakado Garrison of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force's International Activities Training Unit. The product is an unpainted kit that requires gluing assembly and painting. Despite being 1/72 scale the detailed molding is just as intricate as 1/35 scale! This small armored vehicle was developed by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force starting procurement and deployment in 2002 with a capacity of 3-4 people per vehicle for strategic/battlefield mobility using multiple vehicles. It is wheeled 4x4 all-wheel drive and equipped with a 4.8L diesel turbo engine. It has five entry/exit doors and a hatch on top where a gun mount can be installed. The reconnaissance version is deployed to reconnaissance units under each division/brigade and its distinctive external features include a rack on top and in recent years an antenna mast has been added above the driver's door. Deployed to the International Activities Training Unit this vehicle is characterized by its armor plating around the machine gunner and a spare tire mounted on the rear. Basic Features and Specifications - The product is 1/72 scale and includes two vehicles reproducing the light armored vehicle with a spare tire and armor plating that was stationed at the Komakado Garrison of the International Activities Training Unit. - Finished size: Approximately 62 x 31 x 45 mm (with antenna mounted) - The hull is made of a single piece for the front sides and top using slide molding. - The front lights are reproduced with separate transparent parts. - The rear lights have separate transparent lens parts. - The glass is a separate externally fitted part. - The rear of the hull is a separate part and the presence or absence of attached parts can be selected by cutting out the blind holes. - The difference between the anti-slip processed and unprocessed parts on the hull surface is expressed with fine surface engraving. - The interior of the hull is also reproduced with multiple separate parts. - The back of the seat is a separate part. - The floor and interior are separate parts to reduce the need for painting. - The gun mount hatch can be opened or closed. - The gun mount is designed to be integrated with the bulletproof plate and can rotate 360 ​​degrees even after completion. - A 5.56mm MINIMI machine gun and gun shield parts for mounting on the gun mount are included. - The pebbles are separate parts and can be mounted or not mounted on the vehicle. - The front left and right mirrors are provided as a single part including both the rear and under mirrors and arms. - The main parts of the undercarriage are composed of 3 parts and reproduce the distinctive uneven shape despite being flat. - The suspension is made into a separate part to simplify the molding.
