(Story)
"Legend of the Galactic Heroes" is a science fiction novel by Yoshiki Tanaka.
Also based on the novel are the anime and manga.
- Set in a distant future galaxy, this space opera depicts the battles and intrigues of numerous heroes, centered around the two characters Reinhard von Lohengramm and Yang Wen-li.
- In the distant future, humanity, which has expanded into the galaxy, is divided into two major camps.
The Galactic Empire (Empire), ruled by the Emperor and aristocrats, and the Free Planets Alliance (Alliance), founded by republican people who escaped from the Empire.
A full 150 years have passed since the outbreak of the war between the two sides, connected only by two corridors sandwiched between vast expanses of unnavigable space.
At the end of this long stalemate, the young heroes Reinhard von Lohengramm and Yang Wen-li appeared on both sides, setting history in motion.
