VCR cycles is delighted to bring to the market this retro 1992 Marin Palisades Trail mtb.

Pretty much original but I’m not sure the Shimano STX cantis came on this model so these could be later upgrades?

As you can see from the photos it’s had an easy life. The original Shimano 300Lx transmission shows very little wear and the same for the braking surfaces on the Araya rims.

The paint and decals have survived very well particularly the fluro green areas as these usually fade.

There are some scuffs n scrapes and a few rust scabs as you expect but for its age it’s very presentable.

Nice original Marin Saddle and Marin Lite components.

The bike has been serviced with all new inner cables and new amber wall tyres. The tyres are brand new, ok they mightn’t be original Chen Shin etc but they’re not bad quality to be honest and certainly safer to ride on than crusty old originals that could split at anytime.!

Everything works as it should, nothing is loose or worn or in need of replacement anytime soon.

Get your retro ride in ready for the summer!

Frame size is 17” from the centre of the BB to the very top of the seat tube where the seat post enters or 16” to be level with the top of the top tube depending how you wanted to measure it.

It’s a small to medium frame.

Always open to offers especially if picking up in person 😉

Very much Welcome to view/test ride prior to committing to buy if your local enough or don’t mind making the journey.

Thanks for looking.

Pick up preferred from south Liverpool L25 postcode area or I can have it couriered to any mainland Uk address for £40.

I’ve had a few moans and people telling me they can get it cheaper with a budget service from the likes of Evri. Please take a moment to read the below details to show what this £40 cost covers.

The 11.9% eBay business seller fees taken by eBay from the £40 so it’s actually £35.24 taken by me.

A bike box which I now get charged £5 each for from my local bike shop so it’s now £30.24 taken by me.

Extra insurance not shown on the postage cost label, this can be anywhere from £5 to £15 depending on the value of the bike so now a maximum of £25.24 taken by me.

Actual postage costs of a premium next day service is approx £20 so now it’s £0.24p taken by me and this is without the deduction of packing material costs like tape, bubble wrap, shrink wrap etc.

I don’t make any money on my postage costs I actually lose money so Please bear this in mind when leaving feedback on sellers postage costs as there is a lot more costs involved than the price displayed on the actual postal label. Thank you.

This £40 price doesn’t include Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Guernsey, Jersey, Scottish Highlands, etc or any parts of Ireland with a UK postcode as unfortunately couriers don’t have a one price for all policy like Royal Mail.

Please get in touch for a quote if you live in any of the above places. Thanks

Worldwide shipping via eBays global shipping program but please be aware the bike will be dismantled in order to fit inside a box of 120cm in length.
