This is a beautiful  and high-quality, vintage Japanese pure hammered copper Shabu Shabu Hot Pot. 9" x 9" x 4 1/2" h. Width from outside of handle to outside of handle is 13." This is designed for cooking shabu shabu, a Japanese dish featuring sliced meat and vegetables boiled in broth at the table. It features a central cylinder for fuel to keep the broth at a high temperature. The copper is used for its excellent heat conduction.
