This is one of those deeply original old-world watch pieces that instantly looks important the second you see it. An exceptionally vintage Swiss pocket watch movement and dial measuring approximately 39.56 mm, with a beautifully aged polished aluminum dial, raised gold-colored numerals and markers, and an absolutely fantastic early mechanical look that collectors, restorers, and steampunk builders go crazy for. This piece has the kind of honest antique character that cannot be faked.

This came from the estate of a top Rolls-Royce engineer who owned millions in rare worldwide collectibles. Many items from this extraordinary estate were purchased in places like Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Pakistan, and some were never released in the USA. This is a Swiss manual-wind pocket watch movement with matching dial, being sold exactly as shown. The movement markings appear to include Swiss origin and jewel/adjustment information, and the dial has a classic sub-seconds layout at 6 o’clock with rich gold-tone Arabic numerals that give it a very bold and unusually attractive antique appearance. Style: antique pocket watch parts / repair. Features: Swiss movement, manual wind, sub-seconds dial, gold-tone applied numerals, highly aged original surface, excellent display or restoration potential.

Condition is exactly the kind of untouched estate condition serious buyers hope to find. Please inspect every photo carefully. This piece shows heavy age, tarnish, oxidation, grime, patina, scratches, discoloration, and wear throughout. The dial has visible surface aging and spotting. The center hands appear to be missing, and the small seconds hand is present. The gears do not appear to be locked up, and the movement seems to move freely by observation, but I have not serviced, timed, or professionally tested it, so it is being sold strictly as parts or repair. That said, it has outstanding visual appeal and would make a superb candidate for restoration, parts harvesting, display, or an upscale steampunk project.

What makes this one stand out is the look. It has that raw, early Swiss mechanical charm with a dial that looks dramatically old and authentic. A lot of loose movements are plain and forgettable. This one is not. The gold numerals against the aged metallic dial give it a striking presence that would look incredible in a collection, watchmaker’s lot, restoration bench, or framed horology display.
