This is my 1989 Honda Acty Attack.
I orginally bought this in Japan to be sent to the US however due to issues with shipping as the port near DC was closed for a while I decided to ship it home to me in the UK. If you are looking at this ad, I suspect that you already know how rare the HA2 is anyway, and in this format with low mileage they are complete unicorns so I was pretty happy to own this car.
The mileage shown is a paltry 36,500km and this is believed to be genuine as the car comes with some service history and also the original owners manuals! This is the 548cc early variant of the car but comes with all the usual Attack options such as diff lock, high and low gears etc.
As you can probably see, since adopting her I have done a lot. I wanted to keep her original except from the wheels (which yes I do now regret). Being an old girl she did need some bits and pieces however she was not rusty which is the reason that I hand picked her in Japan myself (in person not on the internet I should add) for my friend in the US.
First thing was to ensure smooth running as there was a wobble when I first got her. I took the drive shaft out and had that remade by a specialist which has eliminated all the wobble. Next was cosmetics. The original seat had a long tear in it and it took me almost a year but I did find an original replacement in Japan which is now fitted to the car. I left the plastic wrap on the back to protect it. The steering wheel had also cracked form heat and again I found a replacement in Japan which is now fitted. Next was the body, which despite not being rusty did have scratched and signs of age. THe whole car was hence resprayed in original white and the underside was undersealed. She also has a new battery and new (from Honda) battery cover and stay.
I bought new floor mats but the original honda rubber mats remain in place underneath.
The only thing still pending are the stickers that I have requested but am still waiting for.
Overall, I suspect its not possible to find a nicer example of this iconic and increasingly hard to find car. Price is not flexible but happy to talk about p/x's if you have something interesting.
