Parts are made to order, but can be turned around in just three days. If you are ordering more than one harness, additional material will need to be ordered for production, and lead times will be increased to two weeks before shipping. Custom harnesses are available, if you need something specific. Reach out to us if that's the case. 

The harness is made with TXL wire. We also offer the same harness made with M22759/16 military spec wire. MoTec design suggests using military spec wire that is rated for 150 degrees C (302 F). TXL wire is a budget alternative, which is rated for 125 degrees C (257 F). TXL is an OEM quality wire, used by many manufacturers of automobiles and heavy equipment.  This is not a MoTec produced part, though we upsize the wiring used in order to follow short circuit safety standards. All terminals are gold plated OEM terminals sourced from an authorized distributor, which is also true of the connectors. 

- All inputs, CAN communication and 8-amp outputs are connected with 18 gauge wire.

- All 20-amp outputs use two terminals from the PDM. Each terminal is connected with a short 16 gauge wire, and then the pairs of 16 gauge are spliced to 14 gauge wire to run the remainder of the length of the harness. 

- Harnesses are color-coded, and a spec. sheet will be provided with each harness.

- CAN communication circuits are twisted and exceed MoTec specification.

- If you like, a 100 or 120-ohm terminating resistor can be added to the harness before shipping. You MUST contact us immediately after placing your order if this is necessary for your CAN bus. Once the harness is shipped, it cannot be altered.

- Each wire may be labeled at the far end to identify the connector cavity, per customer request, using waterproof heat shrink labels. This requires an additional $100 payment made via Venmo or PayPal to cover the cost of materials and may delay turnaround time to shipping. No work can begin to add labels until after that payment is made, and shipping cannot be delayed while waiting for this additional payment for materials, as eBay follows our shipping times and we cannot compromise our ratings with eBay. We leave this feature off our base harnesses to offer the lowest price possible.

Please note that installation must be performed by a professional, or very informed technician. This is not because the harness is complex, it's because the MoTec PDM system itself is a very complex and intricate network of inputs and outputs. Please always refer to the MoTec installation instructions to understand how each device needs to be wired, how to configure the digital/analog inputs, and what the current limits are for each driver. 

NO RETURNS ARE ACCEPTED OTHER THAN DEFECTIVE PARTS OR PARTS DAMAGED IN SHIPPING. All parts claimed to be damaged by shippers or incorrectly manufactured will be reworked and shipped back to you. If you cut circuits on the harness, they will not be replaced before shipping back to you. 

DO NOT under any circumstances order this product unless you intend to use it. We will reject all requests for returns without proof of manufacturing or shipping error.

We CANNOT offer technical support with the MoTec PDM system or harness installation. You must work with a qualified professional during installation, or take on the risks yourself. We can only support manufacturing defects or shipping damage with the harness itself. We do not have resources available inside of MoTec. You are purchasing an independently produced harness, meant for installation by a professional.
