The light, wind resistant and water repellent Tyono™ 30 shell is treated for extra durability, and Permeair™ panels under the arms improve ventilation. The insulated helmet compatible hood adds warmth and protection. Redesign includes an update to the cuff construction for easier on/off and layering, an updated material package for enhanced durability, updated fit, and a dope dyed liner.

The Atom AR is an incredibly versatile and All Round (AR) jacket suitable for a variety of conditions and temperatures. This hooded insulated jacket is probably one of the best lightweight and versatile insulated jackets available today. Capable of shrugging off the worst of the weather it is wind and water repellent and highly breathable.
Filled with a mix of three different weights of highly efficient synthetic Coreloft insulation to maximise insulation, breathability and pack size. The main body uses 120g/m², under the arms has 80g/m² and the hood is insulated with 60g/m² Coreloft. The use of synthetic Coreloft insulation and the tough 100% nylon Tyono face fabric ensures the Atom AR performs well even in cold and wet conditions.
Tyono is a 100% nylon 30D fabric with a DWR (Durable Water Repellant) finish. The DWR finish makes this brilliant hooded jacket highly weather resistant, keeping out all but the worst wind and rain. Due to the low water absorbency of the synthetic Coreloft insulation and the Tyono fabric this jacket will dry out exceptionally quickly and even retain most of its insulation when wet. We have found through practical experience that this type of jacket is highly water resistant, negating the need for a shell until it really is pouring down.
Featuring a fully helmet compatible hood that is equally useful when just wearing a beanie, two zipped hand warmer pockets, an internal zipped chest pocket and possibly the most comfortable wrist cuffs in the world!
This garment has the Arc'teryx “Athletic Fit”. This is the Standard fit of any Arc’teryx garment. Yes its trimmer than their “Relaxed fit” but it still has enough room for a base layer; such a light fleece mid-layer and a synthetic or down filled mid-layer.
