** The US has changed the so-called "de minimis" threshold, or the threshold below which goods were exempt from customs duties and other charges. These changes also affect customs clearance procedures, but the implementing legislation is not yet in force. Therefore, the Latvian Postal Service (Latvijas Pasts) announced that it will be forced to stop accepting parcels for delivery to the USA for an indefinite period. Latvijas Pasts continued to deliver letter correspondence to the US, but will no longer accept items or small packages and parcels.
NOTE: I always use a post service WITH a tracking number for combined shipping. It's reliable but costly. If you want to use an alternative post service WITHOUT a tracking number, it is possible. In that case, you take all the risks. As a result, I will not consider and I'm asking you not to claim for delay, loss, or damage to the letters.
