Vintage Italian Furga doll, made in Italy, dating to the late 1960s or early 1970`s
The doll is clearly marked FURGA / ITALY on the neck, and back which is an original factory mold mark used by Furga.

She stands approximately 21 inches tall and features beautiful facial painting typical of mid-century Furga dolls, with expressive blue sleep eyes & long lashes and original light blonde hair styling,with hair pins securing her updo bun.She has a curls and tendrils above each ear She has an open closed mouth. 

The doll is dressed in a Antebellum period-style outfit white sheer organdy blouse blue smocking stitches on yolk and sleeves ruffled high collar, Her skirt has big navy polka dots on a white background and with two rows of ruffles & attached slip.Under the skirt is a hooped underskirt ,and long white pantalets with a polka dot ruffle and the feet White diamond knit socks and black vinyl center snap Maryjanes.She has a knit lace shawl with LARGE applique felt flowers and one red circle

Very good vintage condition.

Purchased from the original owner a local fellow doll collector that curated a museum in her home,for local school children up until the 1980`s The dolls were displayed behind glass and has been stored now for years
