Carpentry and Woodwork, Edwin Foster, The Library of Work and Play, Doubleday, Page & Co., Garden City NY 1911. Probably a first edition.
A 566 page hardcover book aimed at young people and hobbyists with fine illustrations and B&W photos. There are neat engravings of tools and many diagrams of plans for simple projects in wood, including toys and house wares.
If you dont mind a bit of sexism( everything is about BOYS working wood) this book is quite interesting and informative for hand tool woodworkers.
Someone really enjoyed this book and the cover illustration is very worn and there is an ink stain on the back cover. The covers are almost loose but the binding is tight. Faint penciled initials inside front cover.
