I have retired and am downsizing due to health issues. I have decided to sell my 55+ year Lionel collection. 

One of the most important Post-War train sets by Lionel and my pride and joy,this is the No. 2296W Canadian Pacific Passenger Set that Lionel made in 1957. This set features the No. 2373 Canadian Pacific F-3 AA Diesels. Dual Motors with magnetraction and horn. (1) No. 2551 Canadian Pacific Illuminated "Banff Park" Observation Car; and (3) Lionel No. 2552 Canadian Pacific Illuminated "Skyline 500" Vista Dome Cars. 

This set is better then most. It is in excellent condition - as seen in the pictures. Engine has been serviced and runs well in forward and reverse. There is no battery damage. The decals are in great condition showing minor wear as pictured. The powered A unit has a step missing in the rear and is easily replaced. The dummy A unit has a small broken off area in the shell at the bottom of the nose. It is not very noticeable and the screw still hold the shell firmly. I bought it this way. The passenger cars are very clean with no visible damage. None of the stripes are faded. This is just a reflection of the LED lights in my train room. There are no boxes or a set box. This set is 100% original. I bought this at the TCA Eastern Division meet at York,PA in 1986.
