First of all, this is one of those Frankenstein consoles that Atari Corp released in 1986 using old parts. You can see the original sticker on the back was AT 213 being made in a Taiwan factory in 1983. The new sticker that came loose is A1 126 matching the box and assembled by Atari Corp in 1986. It's a 4-port model (from 1983) with the old style RF/power combo switch box. The back of the console has an empty square hole where the later 2-port power supply would have plugged in.
After getting the crazy thing hooked up, the power light stays on and the power switch does nothing to change that. I thought that would mean a game would not play but inserting Pac-man (while on) worked fine and so did another test cartridge. The joystick works about how you would expect a 5200 stick to work. I cleared a couple screens of Pac-man with it.
