As shown in photos, the unit has seen little use since bought to store archived projects before my dev team was disbanded. It was stored in an air conditioned clean room. It's boxed in original packaging with papers, foam packaging, etc.
It's got the increasingly rare 16GB of RAM - the upgrade provides 14GB useable memory with the OS running, instead of just 6GB with the standard 8GB amount - so comfortably runs apps and Docker images in Container Station (or other container platforms). Has original charger. The only things missing are the expansion slot cover and plastic slider for the front cover, both shown in photos. The front cover clicks in to place, so no issues in using it - just can't make the cover need a child lock release.
I just upgraded the firmware to QNAP's latest 5.2.8.3359 and took screenshots of system info (redacted serial no. in photos for buyer's security). Then reinitialised, so ready for fresh config. This model is really quiet compared to one I have in metal casing - the front cover helps, as does the 4-core CPU that runs low and only uses the substantial burst rate when needed.
It can take up to 4 x 3.5"/2.5" HDD or 2.5" SSD in hot-swap bays - the drives are not included. The unit comes with:
2x 2.5G/1G network ports rear 4x USB rear 1x USB front 4x channels surveillance license (see photo for details) HDMI port via UHD Graphics (Intel HD 600) - so has important 10-bit H.265 decode/encode HVEC hardware needed to transcode video streaming to display devices that play 4k from Jellyfin video libraries, esp. over wifi. AES-NI encryption engine - i originally bought it for this feature.
As part of the D-range, the unit also has lots of useful upgrade cards available for fitting in the PCIe slot, including fast connections to a TL series unit that can occasionally be found for cheap to add additional 8 or 16 drive bays to storage pools without replacing existing drives.
Will send the unit in its original packaging inside another larger box so the unit is super secure in transit.
Let me know if you have any questions. Also check out my other items as I'm clearing out tech and motor/sports equipment I've not used in years whilst living abroad.
